Primetime 74th Emmy Awards Complete Winners List 2022

Emmy Awards 2022 Winner List

Emmys 2022 winners list: ‘Succession,’ ‘Ted Lasso,’ ‘The White Lotus’ and more big wins

The results of this year’s Emmys, which saw strong and historic competition, were commendable.

With 25 nominations, the most of any programme this year, “Succession,” the HBO drama focusing on the dysfunctional Roy family’s struggle for corporate supremacy, was the undisputed favourite going into the 74th Emmy Awards. The programme won for best drama series and Matthew Macfadyen won for best supporting actor.

With 20 nominations each, HBO’s limited-series satire “The White Lotus” and Apple TV+’s comedy “Ted Lasso,” which were both closely behind “Succession,” also won big. The White Lotus won accolades for best limited series, best supporting actress (Jennifer Coolidge), and best supporting actor (Murray Bartlett) for a limited series. “Lasso” got the award for best comedy series.

Newcomer “Abbott Elementary” competed head-to-head with veteran series “Lasso,” “Hacks,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” and “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” in the comedy department. Quinta Brunson, the show’s creator, won outstanding writing for a comedy series, becoming the first Black woman to receive three Emmy nominations in the comedy categories in the same year.
